Love at the Heart of

Birks X Greta Constantine

What happens when two beloved Canadian brands join forces to create a bridal jewellery-inspired collection of gowns? Something akin to magic. Delightfully imaginative, the Birks x Greta Constantine collaboration is a celebration of love and an iconic heritage honouring nature.

“Partnering with Birks was a fantastic experience,” says Kirk Pickersgill, co-founder and designer of Greta Constantine. “Our one-of-a-kind bridal looks riffed on both modern and classic elements, while still retaining the inherent elegance that defines both of our brands.”

Dare boldly. Dream freely.

Dare boldly. Dream freely.

Paying homage to the kind of boundless imagination that connects us to our deepest desires, Greta Constantine took cues from the Birks Dare to Dream collection while dreaming up this bridal jumpsuit with a detachable ruffle-trim overskirt. An ode to the mesh motif of the Birks Dare to Dream Engagement Ring, visible mesh detailing is applied to the overskirt to create a daring statement.

An ode to the brightest star in the constellation

An ode to the brightest star in the constellation

Singularly bright, the North Star illuminates the night sky, the same way this modern mini with bow detailing and diagonal ruffles echoes the adventurous spirit embodied the mythic and spiritual Birks North Star collection. Featuring a round, brilliant cut diamond nestled in a five-pong setting, the Birks North Star engagement ring is a shimmering representation of the eternal spark that brings two people together.

Something borrowed, something blue, something Birks

The flowy, ethereal layers of this gown conjure the circular geometry of the Birks Blue engagement ring, a symbol of eternal devotion and unending love. Paired with a ruffled, strapless bodice, the final look is beautifully balanced and simply exquisite. Greta Constantine plays upon the surprise element of the Birks Blue collection - a sapphire gemstone nestled in the setting - with blue trim woven into the tiers of the dress.

Established in 1879, Birks takes inspiration from the late 19th century for the design of the Birks 1879 engagement ring. Structural design elements are seen in the rings unique setting and details that take inspiration from the past and present. The gown captures this same sentiment with its modern silhouette and classic gathered sleeves and train, highlighting the architectural elements of the era.
