A Long Line of Craftsmen

The Birks family dates back to the 16th century in Sheffield England, where the family were master silversmiths. By the late 1600s the family is granted the oldest silver cutlery trademark on register in Sheffield. It is with knowledge rooted in English craftsmanship, passed down from generation to generation, that Henry Birks open his first boutique in 1879.
